AI Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
In short: Our generators are AI tools. They create text prompts that you feed into third-party AI image generators to make artwork. You are responsible for what you create and sell — and the laws and marketplace rules that apply to AI-generated content differ by country and by platform. Check them before you sell.
Contents
1. How AI is used here
ShirtPrompt sells AI-powered prompt generators. Each generator is a tool that assembles and randomizes detailed text prompts — descriptions of styles, subjects, colors, fonts, and themes — designed to help you produce on-trend artwork for shirts and other print-on-demand products. The generators are built to be used together with artificial-intelligence image models. In other words, AI is a core part of how this product works, both in generating the prompts and in the image tools you use them with.
2. What you actually get
When you purchase a generator, you are buying access to the prompt-building tool. The generator outputs text prompts. It does not, by itself, create finished images or physical products. To turn a prompt into an image, you copy it into a separate AI image-generation service of your choice.
3. Third-party AI image tools
The images themselves are produced by third-party AI services (for example, ChatGPT/DALL·E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, or similar) that you choose and access under their own terms. ShirtPrompt does not own, operate, or control those services. Your use of them — including any fees, usage limits, content rules, and commercial-use terms — is governed by the agreement between you and that provider. You should read and follow each tool's terms of service, especially the parts about whether output may be used commercially.
4. Ownership & originality
Whether AI-generated images can be owned, copyrighted, or sold — and who holds any rights — is an evolving and unsettled area of law that varies by country. In some places, purely AI-generated works may not qualify for copyright protection at all. Two users can also generate similar results from similar prompts. We make no representation that any image you create is original, protectable, or free of conflict with someone else's rights. Treat originality and clearance as your responsibility.
5. Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing every prompt and image before you use it, and for deciding whether and how to sell anything you create. This includes making sure your designs do not infringe trademarks, copyrights, logos, brands, characters, or a person's name or likeness, and do not violate any applicable law.
Important — check your local laws. Laws governing AI-generated content, copyright, consumer disclosure, and what may be sold differ from country to country and even between states or regions. Some jurisdictions are introducing rules that require labeling or disclosure of AI-generated content. Before you sell AI-assisted designs, research and comply with the laws that apply where you live and where you sell. If you are unsure, consult a qualified local attorney.
6. Local laws on AI
Regulation of AI is moving quickly. Depending on your location and your customers' locations, you may have obligations around disclosing that content is AI-generated, around data and privacy, around advertising and consumer protection, and around what subject matter is permitted. ShirtPrompt cannot advise you on the law in your area. It is your responsibility to know and follow the rules that apply to you.
7. Marketplace & print-on-demand rules
Every selling platform sets its own rules for AI-generated content, and those rules change often. Marketplaces and print-on-demand providers — such as Amazon Merch on Demand, Etsy, Redbubble, Printful, Printify, TeePublic, Spreadshirt, and others — may require you to disclose AI use, may restrict or prohibit certain AI content, and may remove listings or suspend accounts that break their policies.
Before listing anything, read the current policies of the marketplace and print-on-demand service you use, including their rules on AI-generated art, intellectual property, and prohibited content. Those rules — not ours — govern whether your specific design can be sold there.
8. Prohibited uses
You may not use our generators or any resulting images to create or sell content that:
- infringes the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights of others (including brands, logos, fictional characters, and band or team marks);
- uses a real person's name, image, or likeness without permission;
- is hateful, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory;
- sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors in any way;
- is deceptive, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful; or
- violates the terms of any AI image tool, marketplace, or print-on-demand provider you use.
9. No guarantee of results
AI output is unpredictable. We do not guarantee that any prompt will produce a usable image, that a design will sell, that it will be accepted by any platform, or that it will be eligible for legal protection. Sales success and platform approval depend on many factors outside our control.
